No April Fools jokes today, sorry. This week was yet another happy and successful one for Elder Hansen. We're beginning to wonder if there will be any that aren't. He is enjoying himself a great deal, and seems to put a positive spin on everything that happens, which is typical of his personality but still refreshing.

One more baptism took place this week, as Zibo was baptized Sunday as scheduled. Naturally, Eric is excited to see another person make the commitment to join the church and follow the Savior. Zibo's baptism leaves Elders Hansen and Liu with no other investigators who are progressing towards baptism. With their positive outlook, they expect this to change soon.

Eric got to do some shopping this past P-day, with what appears to be some success. He bought a new suit for 20 pounds (which is about $28.75). He didn't say where he bought it, but for that price, it must have been a second-hand store of some kind. He said it fits him really well. He also bought a jacket at T.K. Maxx. That's not a typo. The name of the store is slightly different in England. No idea why.

For P-day this week, Eric and the other missionaries in his flat were heading to Chatsworth. This is a large estate located about half an hour from Sheffield. For centuries, it has been home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and the current Duke and Duchess live there now. Several movies, including "Pride and Prejudice" and "The Duchess" were filmed there. Part of the house (that's what they call it, but it looks like a huge mansion) is open for tours, and they have various exhibits in some of the rooms. There is also a huge garden and other attractions for visitors to enjoy. Eric seemed excited to have the chance to visit this historic place.

Eric is still wondering whether he will be transferred next week. He is learning a lot from his new leadership responsibilities, which give him a chance to interact more with the Bishop and local church leaders. He is enjoying that interaction, and thinks it is possible he might stay in Sheffield longer. I would be surprised if that is the case, but who knows. It will be interesting to see what new changes and challenges next week will bring. Stay tuned.
